Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. The leaves and the vineyards close by all changing color it is absolutely amazing! We have many traditions in the fall, but definitely the one that stands out that my two children enjoy a ton is carving their pumpkins before Halloween. Typically they will use a Sharpie pen and draw the shape of the face that they would like to cut out. Let the cutting begin (with adult supervision of course). They actually enjoy pulling out the yucky inside of the pumpkin as well! One year we cleaned some of the seeds and roasted them. This is such a simple tradition, but it definitely brings lots of smiles and great conversation within our family.
One of our fall favorites!
